Ahmad Nadalian is an internationally-known environmental artist. His works draw upon a wide range of symbols from ancient rituals, with new interpretations. His concepts are expressed through a variety of media and techniques.

Below are photos of Nadalian’s work on the sand in the coast of the Persian Gulf:

Prints on the sand in the Shahdan Desert (notice the subtle difference in texture):

The amount of detail is astounding.

These sand prints are made by printing large carved cylinder seals, such as the one pictured below, on sand. These seals were inspired by ancient examples of cylinder seals.

Filip Kulisev is a Slovak photographer who treks around the world taking awe-inspiring photos of nature.

Nosy Iranja, Madagascar

Moeraki Boulders, New Zealand

Svarti Falls, Iceland

Through his work, he shows that despite increasing human activity and interference, there are still virgin sites left on Earth – each of them a unique heritage to future generations.

In the foreword of Kulisev’s second picture book, 100 Wonders, H.S.H Prince Albert of Monaco wrote:

“Through beauty and purity of his images, Filip Kulisev gives substance to those treasures we all too often ignore and that may disappear tomorrow as a result of our reprehensible inaction. I am certain it makes a significant contribution to alert all people of goodwill to the state of our Earth”.
